BAFTSS LGBTQ+ SCREEN STUDIES SIGÂ Â
CALL FOR CO-CONVENERS

The BAFTSS LGBTQ+ Screen Studies SIG is currently seeking new conveners to support the continued growth and development of our supportive research space.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
keeping up to date with the latest LGBTQ+ screen studies research
communicating with members via social media (Twitter and our private Facebook group)
maintaining the SIG website (using Wix)
compiling and circulating the annual newsletter
coordinating events throughout the year
allocating the SIG budget and sending an application to the BAFTSS Executive Committee. All applications are submitted with a fully costed budget to be assessed by the BAFTSS Executive Committee. Funding applications can be submitted by any member of the SIG and co-signed by the convenors
to ensure that the SIG remains as open and inclusive as possible.
This is a flexible, voluntary role and the BAFTSS SIGs can be organised by (paid-up) BAFTSS members at any career stage. This includes Doctoral researchers, affiliated and associated researchers and lecturers, independent researchers, established academics and emeritus professors. Although, we would like to emphasise that this role is also suitable for postgraduate researchers and early careers researchers.
